Linden Woods CNA, Angela Kitchell, Named CNA of the Year

GLADSTONE, Missouri  – Angela Kitchell, a CNA at Linden Woods Village, was recently named CNA of the Year for District 1 by the Missouri Health Care Association (MHCA).

According to the MHCA, the winner of the CNA award must be dedicated, caring, and strive to give high-quality care to all residents. Also, the CNA must be formally submitted by the facility’s leadership team.

When asked about Angela, Cody Hughes, executive director at Linden Woods Village, said, “Angela is what it means to be a phenomenal CNA in every aspect of the job. She goes above and beyond for our residents in ensuring they have the best possible care at all times. When I went to submit a name for this award, Angela’s name immediately came to my mind. We’re so proud and excited that she will represent Linden Woods at the state level.”

Angela said, “I’m thankful to have been named CNA of the Year for this Missouri district. But what I’m most thankful for is that I’m able to provide care and love to the incredible residents at Linden Woods. That is what brings me the most joy.”

Angela will be formally recognized at the Opening General Session & Awards Presentation on Monday, August 23, 2021, at the Branson Convention Center. She will represent District 1 out of seven districts in Missouri. The state winner will be announced at the MHCA convention in August.

Following last month’s article, here are 3 more tips to improve your video calls: limit the number of people on your call, turn the volume up, and use Wi-Fi.

 

Limit the Number of People on the Call

One of the greatest difficulties with video calls is losing connection or having poor connection. This issue increases when the number of people on the call increases. If multiple people in one house are on the same call, they are each using Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi uses broadband signal—a set amount of signal sent out to the house to be used.
The more people using the Wi-Fi at the same time, the weaker the signal will be for each device since the broadband has to be split several ways. When this happens, it is very easy for calls to be dropped. The best way to improve call quality is to limit the number of devices connected to the Wi-Fi at the same time.

 

Use Wi-Fi Instead of Data

Speaking of Wi-Fi, using Wi-Fi instead of data allows for seamless streaming and service for the video calls. Data can easily go out due to location and telephone service, whereas Wi-Fi is more consistent, and should a problem occur, it is easier to fix.
